Apply Research
Apply Research means bringing scientific knowledge into new contexts and developing it further together with practice partners. Science can provide impulses for education, health, culture, nature interpretation and other areas of society – while practical experience can, in turn, raise new questions for research. Our collaborations bring scientific perspectives together with the knowledge and experience of people and organisations from different fields of practice. Together, we develop new ideas, formats and applications that make scientific knowledge accessible and useful for real-world challenges. Our collaborations show how scientific knowledge can open up new perspectives in practice – and what can emerge from working together.

Our Activities
In collaboration with local partners, we explore how enrichment measures can influence enclosure use, activity, and animal visibility. We are also investigating how adapted mowing practices can promote meadow biodiversity in the Almtal. In both projects, we combine scientific research with practical measures.
