Open Science Center
Experience science. Understand nature. Shape the future together.
With the Open Science Center at the Konrad Lorenz Research Center, a new place where science comes to life has been created at Cumberland Wildpark in the Almtal. Since September 2026, it has been bringing together research, education, and social dialogue—and inviting people of all ages to discover the world of science, ask questions, and get actively involved.
For more than 15 years, the Konrad Lorenz Research Center has been developing innovative formats for science communication and citizen science that reach thousands of people each year. The Open Science Center builds on this experience and opens up new ways to make research accessible, interactive, and collaborative with society.
